Overview
The Restaurant Workforce Integration is an add-on feature set within Scheduling Timesheet Mode designed specifically for the operational needs of food service and hospitality organizations.
Note: This feature set requires Scheduling Timesheet Mode. It is not available in Full-Time Mode.

- Employees report declared tips at clock-out

Configuration (Admin)
Setting Up Roles
- Navigate to Settings → Dropdowns → Job Roles
- Add restaurant-specific roles (e.g., Server, Bartender, Host, Line Cook, Dishwasher)
- Assign roles to employees in their Employee Profile
Configuring Break Rules
- Navigate to Settings → Leave Policies → Break Rules
- Set minimum break duration by shift length (e.g., 30 min break for 6+ hour shifts)
- Configure paid vs. unpaid break designations
Tip Configuration
- Navigate to Settings → Payroll Settings → Tip Configuration
- Set tip pool contribution percentages by role
- Configure tip credit amounts by state
Scheduling for Restaurant Operations
Creating a Service Period Schedule
- Navigate to Workflow → Schedule
- Select Service Period View
- Assign employees by role to each service period
- System shows coverage gaps highlighted in red
- Publish schedule — employees are notified via mobile app
Managing Call-Outs
When an employee calls out:
- Manager marks the shift as Open
- Eligible employees receive a push notification
- Available employees can claim the open shift in the app
- Manager receives notification when shift is covered
Labor Cost Management
The Labor Dashboard provides real-time tracking:

Compliance Reporting
Navigate to Reports → Timesheets with the Restaurant filters:
- Break Compliance Report — Shifts where required breaks were missed
- Minor Labor Report — Hours and schedule compliance for employees under 18
- Tip Reporting Summary — Declared tips by employee and pay period
- Minimum Wage Compliance — Tipped employees below minimum wage floor
All reports export to CSV and PDF.

Best Practices
- Build your schedule at least 2 weeks in advance — employees need to plan around their availability
- Use role-based scheduling to ensure all critical positions are covered before approving shifts
- Review the Labor % daily against your target — address overtime proactively, not reactively
- Require tip declarations at clock-out, not end-of-day, to ensure accuracy
- Run the Break Compliance Report weekly to identify patterns and address them in coaching
